I have a light summer top I love, that was so simple in design, I just bought a pile of light fabric, dropped the tunic I liked over the top and cut out. Very happy with the resulting three garments.

Needed a couple of watch bands, and thought I should just try deconstructing them. Yay. It sort of worked. This is the black watch.
and this is the brown watch.
I've taken to naming my new ones - this one has a label already called Vampire, so all it needed was some imagination in the construction and we have 'Bite Me'.
Added the red beads later above the wings - look like blood.
Below we have Cherry Blossom, Bite Me and Clouds over a Wheat Field.
and this little beauty is Cherry Blossom.
Four different woollie - both felted and not - items were sewn together for this vest. Very warm.
Added the buttons at the end.
and dispensed with the striped middle which only served to emphasis my thicker waist. It is now a ribbed black knit.
Stormed SaveMart today and came home with a huge pile of shirts and other items. Gulp. Now I have no excuse. The sewing machine has been humming today.
Had fun trying out how friendly felted wool was to fit into different shapes. At the moment, it has the challenge of fitting a very curvy shape. Let's hope that changes gradually!

My clever sister sat down and made this vest in one go, including the little knit flower that sits on it. What a great vest!

Made a rag doll out of left over shirt material, and am wearing the new shirt in this shot.

Here's a long hippi dress I found at Veronica's closet - which I've cut down and readjusted to be a tunic top with additional shirring at the chest area.
This was a man's 'America's Cup' shirt and a woman's top - the centre part is the colour from another top, all to make a nice long tunic.
The ladies above and I had a great day, going to Veronica's Closet and getting cheap clothing to have a go at sewing together. It worked well. The outfits above are the result of that trip.
These dead vampires were made out of left over fabric, stuffed and painted.
This is a top and pullover combined.
Another man's shirt - lumberjack like - with sleeves cut off and cuffs made into side plackets, final result a waistcoat.
Love this top, reconstructed into a long tunic.
And the one below is a woman's crimped top, joined to a lovely hank of material like an oil slick below, and paua beads dotted around the middle.
I wear the jumper/tunic combination below a lot in the winter. The coloured red heart buttons around the neckline really add to it.
And this one was made entirely myself, so it's a construct rather than a reconstruct. Has musical instruments up the middle.
